America's FIRST Recliner!

Do you know when America's FIRST automatic chair was made....I DO? Approximately 1901! AND we have it.

This is an awesome piece from our personal collection. Let me show you how this bad boy started....Can you say PUKE green???

This chair is so comfy and so unique we had to have it! We did a lot of research on this chair and found out it is pretty unique. It is a Morris/ Larkin type chair BUT it has a cast iron pea pod reclining mechanism which makes it a little more rare. Even better, it has a brass plaque on the back which wasn't even put on all their chairs. This is a Cook chair and from all the available pictures on the entire internet we can't find this exact one. So whoever buys this...take it on Antique Road Shows so I can find out if it's worth millions and I made a huge mistake in selling!

We covered this in a grey and white Damask material but will reupholster it for whoever buys it :)

It is available in our etsy shop for $1400. This is the most expensive piece we will probably ever sell! Feel free to make us an offer as well. We have loved having it in our home the last few years but it is time to let someone else enjoy this awesome and rare piece.

Check out what it looks like now...but remember we will cover it in a style of your choice!

  • Lucky to have such a rare piece, not to be found anywhere else. Design itself is elegant, looks very rich and any type of upholster suits to it.
